In that day sin will be removed.
In that day we worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
In that day we will be rescued, those of us who are outcasts in this world and about to perish in the land.
In that day we will each be gathered, each child one by one, meaning each is known, and no one will be missed.
In that day the great serpent will be slain.
The day is coming. It can feel long off, especially to the outcasts and those perishing in the land!
But there is no abandonment before that day.
Isaiah 27, verse 3 is “I, the Lord, keep it, I water it every moment; lest any hurt it, I keep it night and day.”
The “it” here is the vineyard. What’s the vineyard? Or, who is the vineyard? Jesus said, “I am the vine. You are the branches.”
If you are in Christ, you are part of the vine, part of the vineyard.
God guards and cares for His vineyard.
He keeps his children. He won’t let anything hurt His children. Night and day, the Lord doesn’t sleep. He’s watching over His children. He’s guarding His children and taking care of them, giving them what they need.
What do we need most? What is the only thing we actually truly need? God Himself! It says that He waters it every moment.
The living water given to us is the Holy Spirit. It’s supposed to be a flowing through us, an every-moment flowing in and out. If He gives us water every moment, then the flow of the Spirit through us will never fail or run dry.
In the meantime, we are taken care of, but that day is coming.
