I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God.

Exodus 29:45 ESV

He did it all to be with you. He did it all to be your God. Don’t throw away such a great salvation by walking, like the Israelites, after the desires of the flesh and of the mind. Jesus gave His life, surrendering to the Father’s will, so you could be clean and be in His presence. Sin separates us from God. Walking in His presence, in His light, is how we remain holy and set apart to Him. As we walk in the light, He cleanses us from our sin. (Do you recognize 1 John 1:7? I’m often referencing Scripture, even if I don’t note it.)

Jesus gave the example. Surrender your life to the will of God. He received the honor from the Father for the sacrifice, but a multitude beyond number received the blessing from it. We surrender our lives not just for our own benefit but also for those who will receive the blessing of our sacrifice.
