I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship,

Exodus 31:3 ESV

God gives people talents and abilities because He has plans for their lives. They aren’t given to make you rich and famous. They are for God’s glory and the good of His people.

When we are born anew we get a new gift, the gift of the Holy Spirit, which comes with abilities as well and for the same purpose. They are to glorify God and build up His body, for serving His people.

Ephesians 4 tells us they are for the equipping of the saints and the edifying of the body.

God has put something in you. It’s not for you, but for others. We’re at our best when we’re all living for others. So let your light shine and be the blessing you were created to be.
