Hos 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

Reaping steadfast love sounds like what we’d want! Righteousness rained on me; that’s something I’d go after too.

To reap steadfast love we’re to sow righteousness. What is righteousness? It’s knowing the right thing to do and doing it. I sow righteousness in every decision I make to die to self and live to Christ. If you are struggling with righteousness, we’re given a way to get that. Seek the Lord. Pursue Him. Go after Him. David’s heart was after God. A godly man has his heart set toward God. He goes after God. He desires after God. Prayer and Bible reading aren’t a daily duty to check off or something to just improve our lives and make our day go better. It’s a pursuit of God. There’s a reward for those who seek after God. It’s God Himself.
