There is a way to thrive when the world’s economy is crashing. God’s economy isn’t touched by the world’s economy. The world has two fish and five loaves and God has enough for everyone with an abundance to spare. The world has enough for one last meal but God’s flour pot never empties.

We give freely because we know God gave it to us in the first place, and we’re not relying on the money for our needs. We’re relying on Him.

There is no safehold in the world, no investment scheme, no amount shored up that will keep you from being shaken if the world’s economy crashes. But God’s economy can’t be shaken. His people will plunder Egypt when the world of the Egyptians is crashing down around them. There is a way to thrive during a crash, and it’s to be the one who has stored up treasure in heaven, where it cannot be touched by this world. It’s the one who gives to the poor that will not lack.
