Then Josiah contributed to the lay people…these were from the king’s possessions.
…the priests threw the blood … while the Levites flayed the sacrifices.
The singers…were in their place…; and the gatekeepers were at each gate. They did not need to depart from their service, for their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

I liked the picture here of everyone working together. It’s a picture of believers working together as one body. Josiah can give, so he generously does and sets an example that others follow. The Levites and priests and singers and gatekeepers all knew their job to do and were each doing their own job. I liked the tidbit that they didn’t have to leave their stations. Others were taking care of them so that they could do what they were meant to do.
It’s what the church should look like, an organism where each is doing its part, but its part is serving the whole.
