…Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! …those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Psalm 34:8-10 ESV

He sought the Lord and was answered. Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing – those who seek, and those who fear God. They are also the ones who take refuge in God. They turn to Him for salvation. When we rely on God for salvation, He proves Himself a faithful Savior.

We also have this verse about who the Lord will answer.

Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered.

Proverbs 21:13 ESV

Do we hear and respond to the cries of the poor? Or are we more like the Israelites?

…So they ate and were filled and became fat and delighted THEMSELVES in your great goodness. Nevertheless, they were disobedient…

Nehemiah 9:25-26 ESV

We rely on God for our own salvation, but then we take that great goodness and we offer it to those who are crying out in their need, not only of our abundance, but of the so great salvation we’ve delighted in.
