…He encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions.

I hope this is the way you know God in your life. May you daily turn to Him as your loving, merciful Father, for His delight is to show mercy. Seek it as often as you need to, always confessing and never taking for granted the gift of being able to go to Him because of His great love for you that sees you as the apple of His eye. May you all know that feeling of being His delight.

He loves to care for you. May you daily look to Him for provision. It’s all a gift from Him. Acknowledge it with thanksgiving and never act like you earned what you have or deserve anything because of what you’ve done. It’s all only from Him.

He encircles you. May you know Him as your protector. Trust Him to keep you safe and don’t put your hope in man or the things of man. May you fall asleep peacefully each night because you know He makes you dwell in safety.

May you know Him as the one who lifts you up and sets you on high above all the fray. May you know Him as the one who catches you and never lets you fall.
