I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 89:1 ESV
Not one promise failed.
Joshua 21:45 ESV [edited]
I’ll tell you a little bit of God’s faithfulness to us. When we felt led to “get out of the boat” and trust the Lord to provide for us, the first thing that happened was a fruit and vegetable seller showing up at our door. He gave us everything he hadn’t sold that day and had bought a cake for the kids. He never did that before or after. We weren’t out of food at that point, but it was the Lord showing us how He could just provide. Now our family likes to say, “God provides cake too.”
God put in me to know that a test would come if we put our trust in Him, so it didn’t catch me off guard. When the day came where we had no money, no food, bills due the next day, I was excited! I said, “This is it! God’s got to provide!” The four kids were put to bed with no food waiting for them in the morning, though we hadn’t missed a meal. Just before bed, my husband said, “I’m going to check the bank account again.” I knew it made no sense, that even if somehow money was sent, it would be pending. But there it was, enough money straight from God in our available balance for the whole next month. He is ever faithful.
