And they came out with all their troops, a great horde, in number like the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots…“Do not be afraid of them, for tomorrow at this time I will give over all of them, slain, to Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

This morning I was rejoicing in this, thinking of all the hosts of hell coming against me, and it wouldn’t matter. The Lord would have them all slain before me.

My greatest fear is sin because it’s the only thing that can separate me from my Love. But as Proverbs 13:6 said, “Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless.”

Righteousness is our defense, which we have as a perfect gift from Christ. Blameless is our state before the Father because of the blood of Jesus. Christ is my perfect defense against sin, no matter what trial or temptation comes my way. We are promised a way of escape from any temptation. I know the way. It’s Jesus. 🙂 He is the way. He is the way of escape. He is the freedom. He is the life.

He is everything we need today and always for life and godliness. It’s all found in Him and all freely offered to us. His grace is sufficient for any need today!
