What we have seen on earth is a copy and a shadow of what’s to come.  Husbands and wives and their love for one another are just a copy and a shadow of oneness with Christ and the mutual pleasure and satisfaction in one another. The temple was a copy and a shadow of what will be. The priests and prophets were a copy and a shadow of who was to come.

Israel’s deliverance from slavery and from their oppressors and their deliverance and restoration into the Promised Land was all a shadow of what was to come.

The Old Covenant wasn’t perfect since the law couldn’t make us perfect, and the blood of bulls never took away our sin.

This new covenant would mean God writing His laws on our hearts and minds and everyone knowing God because everyone’s sins are forgiven and guilt wiped out.

The Holy Place holds the lampstand, where Christ’s light in us shines out. We’ll shine from the holy place, a place separated from sin, self, and the world and separated to God.

The Most Holy Place holds the incense, the prayers of the saints. The way into the presence of the Most High God, to His very ears, is through prayer. It’s your fastest way to heaven. Your prayers, expressions of your heart, are kept close to your Father’s heart.

Jesus brings us to the Father. He made the way for us to enter the throne room with our petitions. We can approach with confidence because He secured our place there by His own blood, the blood of perfect man and perfect God.

His blood cleanses us from sin. It removes our guilt. It makes our conscience pure. We are blameless before God.

Jesus is our mediator. He is the only one between you and the Majesty on High. He opened the way through His blood. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. We are purified by the blood.

Jesus “put away sin” by sacrificing Himself.

We are all appointed to die once and then be judged, but when Jesus comes again, it will not be because of our sins, which He already bore, but to come and rescue us out of this world.

We eagerly await for Jesus to come and save us!
