“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” (1 John 4:16, ESV).

God is love. Why did God send His son to die? God is love. Why did God send the flood? God is love. Why did God bring His children out of Egypt? God is love. Why did He deport His children to Babylon? God is love. Why is the great tribulation coming on the whole earth? God is love. Why is He coming to rescue His church out of the world? God is love.

There’s never a time that God isn’t love. There’s never a time that God doesn’t love. There’s never a time when He doesn’t love His children or love everyone in the world. God wouldn’t be angry at our sins, and how we hurt ourselves and hurt each other, if He didn’t care. He cares more than you can possibly imagine. He loves you more than you can understand. By His grace, He can give us some understanding of His love, but He is infinite and He is love. His love is infinite. It’s beyond our comprehension. Never think that God doesn’t love you, or that you lost His love somehow. His perfect love is loving you right now. If you are suffering, know God loves you. He is perfectly loving you.
